Sophie Mahoney is a New York-based artist, originally from New Jersey, born on August 25, 2000. She received a BFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers with a painting concentration in May 2022 as well as a second BFA from Montclair University in Illustration in 2025. Her practice primarily includes painting but she experiments with illustration and sculpture as well. Her work explores themes of feminism, queerness, body image, and mental health.
